The story behind the stories
A first day of school. A dentist visit. A missing comfort blanket. Everyday moments can feel big to a child. Baxterâs stories make room for those feelings, with trusted grown-ups nearby and gentle questions to keep the conversation going.
The series is written for shared reading, including families whose children experience anxiety or sensory sensitivity. Each completed title includes five âBaxter Wants to Knowâ questions.
Meet the author
Mike is a childrenâs author based in Pelham, New Hampshire. His own Siberian Husky, Baxter, is the inspiration behind the series.
